The Cannons defeated the Sabres 8-7 in 10 innings to advance to the second round. The Cannons scored the game winning run on a swinging bunt with the bases loaded and two outs in the 10th. Matt Loftstrom was the winning pitcher with 2 innings of scoreless relief. Jarred Stratechuk was impressive in the loss pitching all 10 innings for the Sabres. Carson George score the winning run and drove in 3 for the Cannons.
