At Dief, the Armadillos opened the semi-finals with authority, rolling past the Brewers, 11-3, in game 1. A 5 run first inning set the tone, giving the Armadillos all the momentum they needed. Amy Johnson, named Red Bull player of the game, starred on both sides of the ball - pitching six innings of three-run ball while also driving in two runs at the plate. The Armadillos offense kept pressure throughout, piling on runs and never letting the Brewers claw back into the contest. With the win, the Armadillos grab a 1-0 series lead and will look to close in on the finals when game 2 takes place Wednesday at Leakos.
