In the bottom of the 7th the Cardinals were down 4-1, and the first two batters out, Brayden Lavallee and Shawn Dempsey each single and Simon Gentes gets an RBI single and Jon Ikert hits a triple to score 2 more and tie it, 4 - 4. The Tigers intentionally walk the next 2 batters to load the bases with 2 outs. Jack Gherasim hit a single down the middle, which was just missed by the Tigers shortstop, to score Ikert for the win. The Cardinals take a 1-0 series lead.
